This project is possible due to the resources of materials and talented minds at STARworks in Star, NC where I currently work.  I'm using clay sources that we mine and process to make our clay bodies in order to develop decorative slips and inspire a line of functional pottery.  These 360 test tiles respesent all the cone 10 clay bodies we carry and all the cross-dipped possibilities of the slips on each clay. These test pieces and reduction firings are the first steps in my process of making pieces that are informative about the place in which they were made.
