This installation was created to stage and test my personal connection with religious conspiracies.  Apacolypic scenarios are believed on a much more fervent level than most people would believe.  My shrines are a physical expression of an often understated mental obsession.

Installing this sculptural shrine series in a gallery became the antithesis to the Domestic Installation (see below). It white-washed the scene into a calm and serene environment of reverence that was the very opposite of the previous installation.  Both scenarios together convey the two sides to every subject, thought or idea.  One approach of reverence and acceptance, and the other of chaos and scutiny.

The attention to every detail of this sacred site in Jerusalem is impressively deliberate. There is a grand longing and reverence for this Judeo-Christian holy destination, called The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, that exemplifies a crucial aspect of the human race.  Faith and ritual have compounded over time to convey what can only be felt and imagined by its practitioners as an iron will to create divinity, safety and spiritual immortality.  I am using various vantage points of this sacred site to inspire branching series of work that may help to inform my spiritual questions.
